Arlene Frances Bjornsen, PISCATAWAY Arlene Frances Bjornsen (Springard), 82, of Piscataway died Saturday (Dec. 18, 2004) at JFK Hospital, . Edison. She was born in Egypt, Pa., on April 19, 1922, and resided in Metuchen and Perth Amboy before moving to Piscataway Piscataway in 1942. She was a supervisor of cafeterias cafeterias in the Piscataway school system. Arlene was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, a member of the First Presbyterian Presbyterian Church in Metuchen and participated in the St. Joseph's annual craft show. She was a member of the Kings and Queens bowling league of Edison Edison and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Purple Heart. She is predeceased by a grandson, Michael Dolegiewitz; four brothers and four sisters. Survivors are her husband of 63 years, John T. Bjornsen Sr. of 82, supervisor Piscataway; three sons, Robert T. Bjornsen Jr. of Piscataway, Donald G. Bjornsen of Piscataway Piscataway and Kenneth R. Bjornsen of Monroe Township; a daughter, daughter, Arlene R. Dolegiewitz of Bridgewater; a brother, Gerald Springard of Parlin; a sister, Carol Ann Torres of South Amboy; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. great-grandchildren. great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Flynn & SonKoyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, followed by a 10:30 a.m. service service at First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen, then followed by burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Cemetery, Piscataway.
