Gabruk, 39, of 1027 W. Fourth died yesterday (Dee. 8, 1957). He was the husband of Stelle Wisniewski Gabruk. Born in Plainfield, he was a meter inspector for the Public Service Electric and Gas Company, working in the Elizabeth office.

An Army veteran of World War 2 he is survived by his wife; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Gabruk at the home address; one sister, Mrs. John Procini of 2004 Oxford South Plainfield; one brother, Hal tilt Appalachians. The mid-Atlantic states may have mixed rain and snow. It will be cooler "on the coast; warmer in the central Plains, middle and upper Mississippi valley and the central Great Lakes area.

Homer Haight, 97, of 2612 Park died Saturday (Dec. 7, 1957) night at Muhlenberg Hospital, Plain- field. He was formerly of Rutherford, where he was a clerk at the post office for 30 years. He had been in retirement for the past 30 years. He is survived by two nieces: Mrs.

Lester B. McBride, Pomp- ton Lake; Mrs. Frank Adams, Southern Pines, N. and one grandniece, Mrs. Leonard Covert, Atlantic Highlands.

Funeral services will be held from the Speer Funeral Home, Somerville. tomorrow, at 11 a.m Interment at the Pluckmin Ceme tery, Pluckmin. The Rev. Thomas P. Haigh, Second Reformed Church, Somerville, will officiate.

Mrs. Hermine Buser Pittstown The Funeral for Mrs. Hermine Buser, 48, of Everittstown will be held at 9, a.m. tomorrow from the Johnson Funeral Home in French town, and a Requiem Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. in St.

Ed ward's Church in Frenchtown. Mrs. Buser died Saturday (Dec. 7, 1957r in Hunterdon Medical Center, where she had been a patient for 11 days. The widow of Herman TCucer I she had resided in Everittstown lor 18 years.

She was a native of New York City. She leaves a son, Herman Jr. of Everittstown; a brother, Louis Roller of Linden, and a sister, Mrs. Bella Lerch of New York. Mrs.

Mrs. Mary Bruner and Daughter 9 Funeral Held Funeral services for Aaron Allen of 1018 Ironbound who died Friday in Miami, were held yesterday in the Jewish Community Center. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Donald Stites, at home; two sisters, Mrs.

Mayi Gullberg and Miss Zetta Hall, both of 521 Somerset North Plainfield; a brother, Merle Hall of Watchung; and an aunt. 88, of this community, died Saturday (Dec. 7, 1957) in Muhlenberg Hospital, Plainfield. He was born in Kingston and lived here most of his life. He was a mason by trade and was employed by Matthews Construc tion Company of Princeton. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Gilder VanNote.

Surviving are three sons: Harry, Milltown; Charles, Princeton, and Peter Anchorage, three daughters: Mrs. Helen Sne-deker, Kingston; Mrs. Walter Beekman, North Plainfield; Mrs. Joel Bebout, Elizabeth; 13 grand children, and six great grand children. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.

Alpaugh, 92, widow of Al- vah Alpaugh, died Friday (Dec. 6, 1957) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jean M. Harchol, 34 Upper Overlook where she had lived for the last five years. Born in Cokesbury, Mrs.

Al paugh lived in Oldwick for most of her life until she came to Summit. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Oldwick and of the WSCS of the Summit Methodist Church. She leaves also two grandchil dren and a great-granddaughter. Francis Brachhold Funeral services for Francis Brachhold of 22 Brighton Seaside Park, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Gray in West- field.

Mr. Brachhold died Satur day (Dec. 7, 1957) in Muhlenberg Hospital, Plainfield, after a long illness. He was 67. A native of Philadelphia, Mr.

Brachhold lived in Roselle Park before moving here nine years ago. He was a retired buyer for Kresge's in Newark and had been a buyer for Bamberger's for many years. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Margaret Brachhold. He leaves a daughter, Mrs.

La fayette Fisher Scotch Plains, fand two sisters, Miss Margaret Brachhold and Mrs. Wilfred Mac- Allister, both of Daytona Beach, Fla. Joseph Lipari Newark The funeral for Jo seph Lipari of 55 N. 10th St. was held at 8:30 a.m.

today from the Megaro Memorial Home, and a Solemn High Mass was offered at 9:30 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier's Church. Interment was to be in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Mr.

Lipari died Thursday (Dec, 5, 1957). Survivors include four sons, Peter of Newark, John of Roselle, Louis of East Orange and Andrew of Iselin, and three daughters, Mrs. Ann Zazzali pi Newark, Mrs. Lee Aiello of Heu velton, N. and Jeanette Lipari of Newark.

Walter H. Gabruk of Rochester, N. Y. He was a member of Polish Falcons Nest 261 Plainfield; member of the Polish National Home, South Plainfield and vice president of the Polish American Democratic Club of Dunellen. A communicant of St.

Stanislaus Church, he was graduated from Plainfield High School where he played football, baseball and basketball. He formerly played on the Saracen football team in Plainfield. The funeral will be held from the Higgins "Home for Funerals" Thursday at 9 a.m. A Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at St. Stanislaus Church at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plain field. Mrs. Elizabeth Vogel Middlesex Mrs. Elizabeth Vogel, 57, died unexpectedly Sat urday evening (Dec. 7, 1957) in her home at 312 Bound Brook of a heart attack.

She had returned here from Millington about three weeks ago. Born in Plainfield, Mrs. Vogel was a daughter of the late John and Minnie Bechtle Wirth. She was the widow of William Vogel, who died in March, 1942. She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church and Ladies of the Golden Eagle, Freedom Temple, 29, Plainfield and of the Sons and Daughters of Liberty, Unity Council 3, New Brunswick.

She is survived by a son, Clif ford R. of Randolphville New Market; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas J. Christiansen of North Hill Millington, and Mrs. Raymond Hull of Rushmore Plain-field; two brothers, John F.

Wirth of 138 Vogel Middlesex, and William Wirth of Rushmore Plainfield; five grandchildren, two nieces and four nephews. 'Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Mun-dy Funeral Home, Dunellen. Dr. John Y.

Cecil Hoffman of Hedges borough councilman and former township and borough clerk, will be held at 2 p. m. tomorrow in the Congregational Church. Mr. Hoffman, life-long resident of Chester, died Saturday (Dec.

7, 1957) in Morristown Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was 65. A Democrat, he became clerk of Chester Township in 1920. When the borough was formed in 1930, he became borough clerk and served until 1953. A build ing contractor, he was elected to the Borough Council 1955 for a three-year term.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Mabel R. Hoffman; two sons, John C. and Harry and two daughters, Mrs. Emile Ardin ana Mrs.

Covert was born in Fair-mount Jan. 12, 1893, a son of the late Daniel and Mary Rice Covert, and had been a life-time resi dent of the Long Valley area. He was employed as a day worker. He was a veteran of World War 1 and was a member of the for mer Long Valley American Le gion Post which later transferred its members to the Chester Post. He was also a member of Long Valley Fire Company.

Wilson, who was for more than 30 years a commander in the medical depart ment of the U. S. Navy. Besides her son, she leaves a grandson, Henry Robert Wilson, at home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m.

Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery. Mr. Birtwistle was born in Belleville Jan. 5, 1888, a son of the late Uriah and Sybil Jenkins Birtwistle. He had lived in this place since 1918 and had oper ated a farm and egg business for nearly 30 years until he retired about two years ago.
