North Plainfield State Bank A REPORT TO THE COMMUNITY PROJECTED MALPRACTICE RATE INCREASES FOR Union County Hospitals 1975 1976 $1,020,000 $2,326,000 The figures tell the story. Average malpractice rates for Union County hospitals are projected to increase 128 during the coming year. With this projected increase hospitals have experienced exorbitant insurance rate increases of 365 since 1973. Ultimately, hospitals have no choice but to pass on these unregulated costs to our patients, you, the consumers of health care.

This is only one of the many mandatory and inflationary increases your hospitals have faced during 1975 and will face again in 1976. Quality health care is an expensive proposition.
