dA 1980 graduate of Rahway High School, he was a maintenance mechanic for the past year for AMTRAX in North Brunswick. He was a communicant of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Rahway. He is survived by his father, Gerard F.

of Pompano Beach, his mother, Shirley J. Burgess Moore of Chesapeake, a sister, Catherine Barry-Preston of Denver, his fiancee, Eileen Fortunato of Rahway, and a niece and nephew. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday from Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home, 275 W. Milton Rahway, followed by a 10 a.m.

Mass at St. Mary's R.C. Church. Burial will be at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia section of Woodbridge.

CAROL COOK AGE: 65 EDISON -Carol M. Braender Cook died April 13 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. She was 65. She was born in Merrick, L.I., N.Y., and lived there for five years before moving to Edison 60 years ago. She was formerly a receptionist for the OB-GYN Group, Metuchen.

She was a member of First Bapfist Church of Metuchen. A son, George, and two sisters, Marilyn Ruszank and Deanna Person, died previously. She is survived by her husband, Edison police Lt. George W. Cook; a son, Kevin of Edison; two daughters, Barbara Oppelt of Claremont, and Jacqueline Regan of Edison; a brother, Raymond Charles Brander of Hopewell, and eight grandchildren.

Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Rusciano Funeral Home, 75 Woodbridge Highland Park, followed by a 10:30 a.m. service at the First Baptist Church of Metuchen. Burial will be at Clover Leaf Cemetery, Woodbridge. Memorial donations may be made to Baptist Church of Metuchen Missionary, 225 Middlesex Metuchen, NJ 08840.

ROSE BRODD AGE: 89 HIGHLAND PARK Rose Tahaney Brodd died yesterday at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was 89. She was born in New Brunswick and lived there before moving to Highland Park about 30 years ago. She was a secretary at Metropolitan Life Insurance New Brunswick, for many years before retiring several years ago.

She was a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church, Highland Park. Her husband, Walter died in 1968. Three sisters, Veronica Harding, Eleanor Kelly and Catherine Walker, also died previously.

Surviving are two stepsons, Robert of Port Ludlow, and Richard of New Lisbon, and two nieces, Rosemary Harding of Manasquan and Suzanne McKenzie of New Brunswick. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Highland Park, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Paul the Apostle R.C.

Church, Highland Park. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. GERARD CARUSO AGE: 61 FRANKLIN Gerard Gabriel Caruso died Sunday at home. He was 61.

He was born in Newark, and lived in Point Pleasant and Union before moving to the Franklin Park section of Franklin eight years ago. He retired in 1997 as a purchasing manager for Quest International, Mount Olive. He was a communicant of St. Paul's R.C. Church, Princeton.

A brother, Joseph, died in 1994. Surviving are his wife, the former Blanca Rodriguez; a son, Joseph of Edison; a sister, Genieve Simmonds of Bricktown; a stepson, Andres Nieto of Franklin Park, and two stepdaughters, Claudia Nieto of Plainsboro and Ingrid Nieto of Franklin Park. Services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Thursday from Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Somerset section of Franklin, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass at St.

Born in New York, he lived in. Bergen County before moving to the Clearbrook community in Monroe more than 20 years ago.

Before retiring, he was a garment salesman for Barney's of New York and a furniture salesman at Ethan Allan stores in New Jersey. He was a former member of the Clifton Jewish Center. His wife, the former Gertrude Nochimson, died in 1982. Mr. Bernstein is survived by a daughter, Susan Bernstein at home.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Menorah Cemetery, Passaic Avenue, under the direction of Bloomfield Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Manalapan. AGE: 69 METUCHEN Kathleen V. Cemprola died Saturday at JFK Medical Center, Edison. She was 69.

Born in Newark, she lived in the Menlo Park section of Edison before moving to Metuchen 40 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Cathedral, Metuchen, and was a member of its Parent Teacher Association and Parish Council. Her husband, James, died in 1995.

She is survived by three sons, Michael of Richmond, James of Edison and Thomas of Scotch Plains; three daughters, Cindy Dlabik of Edison, Susan Kulesza of Metuchen and Judy Delcastillo of Florida; a brother, James J. Reynolds of Nipoma, and 10 grandchildren. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday from Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Metuchen, followed by 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St.

Francis R.C. Cathedral. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen. MARIE DeANDREA AGE: 66 WOODBRIDGE Marie Santos DeAndrea died Sunday at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was 66.

She was born in Fundao, Portugal, and lived in Perth Amboy and Woodbridge before moving to The Manor in Freehold four years ago. Her husband, Joseph died in 1990. Her mother, Elizabeth Varga Santos, died in 1982. Surviving are three sons, David J. of Virginia Beach, Kenneth of Woodbridge and Daniel of the Colonia section of Woodbridge; two daughters, Lynn Kromm the Keasbey section of Woodbridge and Karen Aldiero of the Parlin section of Old Bridge; her father, Antonio Santos of Middletown; a brother, John Santos of Stuart, Fla; two sisters, Eleanor Egan of South Amboy and Arlene Egan of Sayreville, and eight grandchildren.

ANTHONY DeBLASIO AGE: 73 OLD BRIDGE Anthony DeBlasio died Sunday at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was 73. He was born in New York City and lived there before moving to Old Bridge 41 years ago. He. was a pressman at AMCO Printing in New York City for 35 years before retiring in 1986.

He was a communicant of Most Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, Old Bridge, and a member of the church's Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife, the former Ann Cicarelli; three sons, Anthony of the Toms River section of Dover Township, Patrick of Old Bridge and James of the Oldwick section of Tewksbury; a sister, Rose Guadagnino of New York City, and eight grandchildren. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Route 9, Old Bridge, followed by a 9:30 a.m.

She was 80. She was born in New Brunswick, and lived there and in the Somerset section of Franklin before moving to the Belle Mead section of Montgomery. She was homemaker. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Ruth Chapter, Milltown. Surviving are her husband, Theodore; three daughters, Tyrene T.

Schilke of Somerset, Kathaleen I. of Belle Mead and Theodora K. Sedneff of the Dayton section of South Brunswick, and a grandson. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton New Brunswick.

Burial will be at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. ROBERT D. FENSKE AGE: 71 SOUTH BRUNSWICK Robert D. Fenske died Feb. 24 at home in Florida.

He was 71. Born in Livingston, he lived in the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick for 20 years before moving to Bushnell, 10 years ago. Before his retirement, he was a member of the Monmouth Junction Fire Department, the Monmouth Junction First Aid Squad and the Plainsboro First Aid Squad. His first wife, the former Joyce Brown, died previously. He is survived by his wife, the former Irene Durbin; two sons, Daniel of Monmouth Junction and Sean of North Carolina; a daughter, Valerie Howard of Tennessee, and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday at Miller Memorial Presbyterian Church, Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction. Arrangements are by Miller Memorial Presbyterian Church. WOODBRIDGE Peter J. Heinz Jr. died Thursday at The Father Hudson House Hope for Hospice Center, Elizabeth. Born in Perth Amboy, he lived in the Fords section of Woodbridge for more than 40 years before moving to the township's Avenel section. He was a locomotive engineer with Lehigh Valley Conrail in Newark for 37 years, retiring in 1978.

Mr. Heinz was a registered lobbyist and state representative for the Brotherhood Locomotive Firemen and Engineers, an assistant state director for the United Transportation Union, and a member of General Council He played semiprofessional baseball for the New Jersey Bears throughout New Jersey. His wife, Mary Ann, died in 1979. A brother, Leo, died previously. Surviving are a son, Peter J.

of Fords; a daughter, Dr. Maryann Frank of Avenel, and two sisters, Gertrude Coffey of Linwood and Gloria Bulinsky of the Parlin section of Sayreville. Services were held yesterday and burial took place at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn section of Woodbridge. Arrangements were under the direction of Flynn Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Fords. HUBER AGE: 53 BETHLEHEM William A. Huber, a prominent figure in New Jersey folk music circles, died Saturday at Easton Hospital, Easton, Pa. He was 53. He was born in Plainfield and lived in the area before moving to the West Portal section of Bethlehem Township, Hunterdon County, many years ago. He was a fiddler and founder of the Jugtown Mountain String Band.

He also was a member of the Buffalo Hollow Bluegrass Band, the Dirdy Birdies Jug Band and Snapperhead, the Cajun and Zydeco Band and Six Mile Run. Mr. Huber was president of the Hunterdon County Folk Exchange, and a member of the Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association of New Jersey and the Appalachian Fiddle and Bluegrass Association of Wind Gap, Pa. He was a co-organizer of Cat 'n' Fiddle coffee house, which was held at Echo Hill Park in the Stanton Station section of Readington, and the annual Hunterdon Folk Exchange Fiddle Contest. He was also a furniture maker and worked on old-home restorations.

He was the owner of Red Wing Restorations in West Portal. He was a former Plainfield firefighter. A 1963 graduate of Woodbridge High School, he attended Newark College of Engineering and was a graduate of Somerset County Technical Institute. Mr. Huber was a sergeant in the Air Force, serving from 1967 to 1969.

Surviving are his wife, the former Carol L. Behrens; a son, Jason, and a daughter, Erica, both of Piscataway; his mother, and a sister, Carol Puri of Warren. There will be a gathering of friends and fellow musicians at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Bloomsbury Presbyterian Church, Church Street, Bloomsbury, followed by a 7 p.m. service at the church.

Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Rush-Devlin Funeral Home, 42 Church Bloomsbury. ASTRID JOHANNESSEN AGE: 73 FLORIDA Astrid K. Johannessen died Saturday at Bon Secours-St. Joseph Hospital, Port Charlotte, Fla.

She was 73. Born in Oslo, Norway, she lived in Ramsey, N.J., before moving to Port Charlotte, nine years ago. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Port Charlotte. Her husband, Kjell died in 1994. She is survived by a son, Peter N.

of Keller, Texas; two daughters, Karin A. Kelly of Ramsey and Christine Riehl of Port Charlotte, and eight grandchildren. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, followed by burial at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, both in Port Charlotte. Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel.

Born in East Orange, he lived in Boca Raton, for many years before moving to Sayreville. He was an auditor with Prudential Insurance Newark, before retiring in 1969. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are two nephews and a niece. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.

Saturday at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 531 Washington South Amboy. Arrangements are by Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main South Amboy. ELEANOR KOMUVES AGE: 70 WOODBRIDGE Eleanor Hazel Newbury Komuves died Sunday at JFK Medical Center, Edison. She was 70.

She was born in Monmouth County and lived in the Iselin section of Woodbridge since 1952. She was a sales clerk at Robert Hall Clothing Store in Woodbridge for eight years during the 1970s. She was a communicant of St. Cecelia's R.C. Church, Iselin, and a member of its choir.

Her husband, Ernest, died in 1996. Surviving are three sons, Cary of Edison, Craig of North Brunswick and Christopher of Iselin; a daughter, Kim Toff of Kendall Park; a brother, Charles of Florida; a halfbrother, Fred Johnson of Oceanport, and three grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday from Thomas J. Costello Funeral Home, Green Street and Cooper Avenue, Iselin, followed by a 11 a.m.

KRAJEWSKI AGE: 77 SOUTH PLAINFIELD Marion A. Krajewski died Sunday at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was 77. Born in Lyndhurst, she lived in South Plainfield before moving to Union Beach five years ago. She was a homemaker.

She was a former communicant of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, South Plainfield. She was a member of the Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church Seniors, Piscataway. Her husband, Edward died in 1992.

Surviving are a son, Douglas E. of Union Beach; four sisters, Rosemary Esposito of Atworth, Frances Kuzmiak of Lyndhurst, Lorraine Eberling of Lyndenhurst, N.Y., and Theresa Sherry of New Hampshire, and two grandsons. A Mass will be celebrated at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann's R.C.

CALLING HOURS TUESDAY 7-9 AND WEDNESDAY 2-4 AND 7-9 P.M. AT THE FUNERAL HOME. LEONA LEBOVITZ AGE: 94 FRANKLIN Leona Lebovitz died yesterday at Central N.J. Jewish Home for the Aged, Somerset section of Franklin. She was 94.

She was born in Massachusetts, and lived in New Brunswick and in Highland Park since 1942 before moving to Somerset years ago. She retired in 1970 after more than 25 years as a payroll clerk with Louis Lefkkowitz Brothers New Brunswick. She was a member of Highland Park Conservative Temple and Center and the temple's Sisterhood. She was a lifelong member of Hadassah and the Central N.J. Jewish Home for the Aged.

She also was a member of Deborah and the National Tay-Sachs and Allied Diseases Association. Surviving are her brother, Jack Lebo of Miami Beach, two nieces; several grandnieces and grandnephews, and a great grandnephew. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin section of Woodbridge. Arrangements are by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston New Brunswick.

DOROTHY OLIMPIO AGE: 81 ELIZABETH Dorothy Olimpio died yesterday at Elizabeth Nursing Home, Elizabeth. She was 81. She was born in Elizabeth and lived there for her entire life. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Anthony, died in 1951.

She is survived by two sons, James of East Brunswick and Joseph of Maryland. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rezem Funeral Cranbury Road, East Bruns wick. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick..
